What You’ll Do
Credit Management
-
Evaluate customer creditworthiness by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, payment history, and industry risk factors

Establish and maintain customer credit limits and terms aligned with company risk tolerance

Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to structure deals that balance growth and risk
Collections & AR Optimization

Own the end-to-end collections process, including outreach, escalation, and resolution of past-due accounts

Monitor aging reports and proactively drive reduction in DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)

Resolve billing disputes in collaboration with Sales, Legal, and Operations
-
Maintain accurate records of collection activity and customer communications
Process Building & Systems

Design and implement scalable credit and collections policies, procedures, and controls

Identify opportunities to automate workflows and improve AR efficiency

Support ERP/financial system enhancements related to billing, collections, and reporting
Reporting & Analytics

Track and report key metrics (DSO, aging, bad debt, collection effectiveness)

Provide insights to Finance leadership on customer risk and cash flow trends

Assist with bad debt reserves and audit support
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Sales, Legal, and Finance to ensure alignment on customer terms and risk

Support contract review from a credit and payment terms perspective

Act as a key business partner in scaling Harbinger’s commercial operations
What We’re Looking For

2–5+ years of experience in credit, collections, accounts receivable, or related finance role
-
Experience in a manufacturing, automotive, hardware, or high-growth startup environment preferred

Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and collections strategies

Ability to analyze financial statements and customer credit profiles

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive customer conversations

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through

Systems-savvy (experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar is a plus)
