Job Overview

Harbinger Motors are looking for an experienced Senior AP Accountant with a strong accounting background and a solid understanding of accounts payable principles, practices, and procedures. This role will be responsible for the continuous improvement and automation of the platform underlying the AP and OPEX processes. Cross functional collaboration with Finance, Supply Chain, and department heads is essential to this role, so effective communication and project management skills are a must. This role reports to the Accounting Director.

What You’ll Do:

• Execute monthly closing tasks, including preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and conducting variance analyses.
• Actively participate in monthly accrual meetings and accumulate accruals for month-end posting.
• Reconcile vendor statements.
• Process weekly check run within assigned weekly cash forecast
• Oversee the company’s travel and expense platform (RAMP)
• Manage the 1099 Yearly tax filings
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement new accounts payable practices and procedures.
• Assist with the financial audits.
• Assist with various special projects as required.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an emphasis in Accounting.
• 5+ years of experience related to Accounts Payable with a solid understanding of accounts payable principles, practices, and procedures.
• Strong desire to build and improve processes that streamline and automate operations
• Strong understanding of general ledger structures, accounting skills, and financial reporting
• Experience working with modern ERP, Expense, and Procurement systems (e.g. NetSuite, Ramp, and Coupa)
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
